The Moorland Flying Club is based at Davidstow
Aerodrome on Bodmin Moor, one of the most desolate
yet ruggedly beautiful areas of North Cornwall.
Less than four nautical miles to the North are
towering cliffs dropping sheer down to the sea.
To the South is the vast expanse of the
Moor with its tors and valleys, modern china clay
quarries and old tin mine workings.For those wishing to combine their flying with a family holiday, there are many hotels, guesthouses and self-catering establishments in the area at prices to suit most pockets.
There are also other leisure activities nearby, such as; pony-trekking, wind surfing, golfing, moor and coastal walks, or just lazing on some of the most beautiful beaches in the country (to name but a few).
